Meet Captain Mark Petitt

Captain Mark Petitt brings over 30 years of experience fishing and diving the waters of Plymouth and Cape Cod. A true local, he grew up exploring these waters and has turned his lifelong passion into a profession.

A U.S. Navy veteran and retired firefighter/paramedic, Capt. Mark is also a U.S.C.G. 100 Ton Master and a PADI-certified advanced/rescue diver. His calm, patient nature makes him a great guide for everyone—from seasoned anglers to families and first-timers.

Capt. Mark finds joy in helping others create lasting memories on the water. He’s committed to making every trip enjoyable, safe, and unforgettable.

The Boat

Capt. Mark owns Fire Escape, a 35′ Terry Jason Downeast, fully equipped to put you on the fish.

F/V FIRE ESCAPE

Fire Escape is a 35′ Terry Jason Downeast. She is powered by a 450 HP Cummins diesel engine.

Fire Escape has a large fishing deck, dry, comfortable cockpit and stately cabin to relax in. She also has a full head with hot/cold water.

Fire Escape is outfitted with safety in mind, with state of the art electronics, incl. GPS Chartplotter, 2- DSC/VHF radios, 48 mile radar, EPIRB, 8 Person Commercial Liferaft, 2- sonar/fishfinders, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, as well as all the required Coast Guard safety gear, as well as an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The Capt. and crew are trained in first aid and CPR.

Fire Escape is equipped with quality gear, incl. Penn and Shimano Rods & Reels.

Our Fishing Destinations

Fire Escape runs out of Plymouth, MA. This location allows great access to the areas different fisheries.

We target striper, blues, fluke/flounder in Plymouth Bay. Just outside Plymouth, in Cape Cod Bay, excellent fishing for striper, blues, cod/haddock, SHARK and of course TUNA!

We are also happy to provide whale watching, scenic/sightseeing/sunset cruises.
